PURPOSE: A novel coumarin derivative and a method for preparing the same are provided to use as an important intermediate and to obtain coumarin derivative of high yield. CONSTITUTION: A novel coumarin derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. The coumarin derivative is prepared by reacting allenoate compound of chemical formula 2 with dihydroxy benzene derivative compound, dihydroxybenzene, alkoxy benzene derivative, or alkoxy benzene of chemical formula 3 under the presence of acid. The acid is acetic acid, trifluoroacetic acid, paratoluene sulfonic acid, trifluoromethansulfonic acid or mixture thereof. The reaction is performed under the presence of dichloroethane solvent at 80-120°C.
