<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a print data file exceeding a specified data size receivable in a printer to a data size of the specified capacity or below by using a printer driver and print it. <P>SOLUTION: The printer driver incorporated to the computer 3 of the information processor 1 allows the file refile module 5 of the computer 3 to function as a determination means, a reduction condition determination means and a reduction means. When the data size of a JPEG file 4 to be printed exceeds the specified size, the printer driver computes the reduction of data size with thinned pixels within a range not influencing printing and estimates and determines the reduction condition of the JPEG file 4 of the specified data size or less. When the reduction condition of the file does not satisfy the specified data size or less, a quantization table is changed to determine the reduction condition by the reduction condition determination means, and the data size of the JPEG file 4 is reduced so as to influence its printing quality as much as possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
