<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine capable of improving both fuel economy and exhaust gas properties at a downstream side of a NOx elimination catalyst, and inhibiting the occurrence of dilution when NOx reduction action is performed by the NOx elimination catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 1 for the internal combustion engine 3 includes the NOx elimination catalyst 8 and an ECU 2. The ECU 2 executes reduction control for controlling exhaust gas flowing into the NOx elimination catalyst 8 to a reduction atmosphere (steps 30-33, 42-46), and sets a target air fuel ratio AF_cmd according to a post ratio Rpost which is a ratio of a post injection quantity Gpost to a total injection quantity Gall during reduction control (steps 20-25). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
