<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration system for use in a compact ballast-water production apparatus that can return plankton living in the sea overboard without harming them to an extent practicable and can keep the treatment cost low. <P>SOLUTION: The filtration system 1 for use in a ballast-water production apparatus in a ship S includes a filtration unit 4 that filtrates raw water RW taken into the ship S and supplies a ballast tank 6 with the filtrated water, a gas supply passage 12 that supplies a depth filter 10 formed of a filtration membrane disposed in the filtration unit 4 with compressed air A to clean the same, and a discharge passage 14 that is connected to the filtration unit 4 and discharges the compressed air A having cleaned the depth filter 10 to the outside of the ship S together with the raw water RW in the depth filter 10, with the pore diameter of the filtration membrane constituting the depth filter 10 being 1 to 25μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
