<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording method which is excellent in operation reliability and is compatible with high-density recording. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic recording method includes: a step of heating a plasmon antenna 102 by a laser diode 200 until it reaches at a predetermined temperature while controlling fly height of a slider 42 to be constant by DFH (Dynamic Fly Height) mechanism, and a step of irradiating the plasmom antenna 102 with a laser beam 203 from the laser diode 200 and guiding surface plasmom near-field light to a surface of a magnetic medium 7 from the plasmon antenna 102. A slider 42 mounts a recording head, TAMR (Thermal-assisted Magnetic Recording) mechanism, and DFH mechanism. The TAMR mechanism has the plasmon antenna 102, the laser diode 200 and an optical waveguide 204 converging the laser beam 203 from the laser diode on the plasmon antenna 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
