<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current consumption in spread spectrum communication without changing the chip rate of spread codes. <P>SOLUTION: An RF receiving antenna 41 of a spread spectrum communication receiver receives RF wireless signals, and an RF demodulator 44 demodulates the RF wireless signals to spread spectrum modulated spread spectrum signals (hereinafter called spread signals). A sliding correlator 46 calculates the correlation value characteristics between spread codes that have a prespecified number of instruction chips and the spread signals demodulated by the RF demodulator 44, and a synchronization detector 48 detects a synchronization point between the spread codes and the spread signals based on the calculation result of the correlation value characteristics. A de-spread processor 49 despreads the spread signals based on the detection result of the synchronization point. In addition, a noise detector 51 detects a noise level of the received RF wireless signals, and a spread code number instruction signal creation part 52 sets the number of instruction chips so as to generate a positive correlation between the noise level and the number of instruction chips based on the detection result of the noise detector 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
