<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel property detector for suppressing a noise generated by a pulsation of a fuel and a change in a position of an electrode. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fuel housing 21 is formed from a thin plate metal member elastically deformed by a fuel pressure within a fuel chamber 23. When the fuel pressure within the fuel chamber 23 is increased, the pressure of the fuel chamber 23 is decreased by an expansion of the fuel housing 21. When the fuel pressure within the fuel chamber 23 is decreased, the pressure of the fuel chamber 23 is increased by a contraction of the fuel housing 21. The fuel housing 21 functions as a damper.
