PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery for stably connecting an electrode assembly and a terminal. SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes the electrode assembly containing a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, a case formed with a space where the electrode assembly is embedded, a cap plate connected to the case, the terminal electrically connected with the electrode assembly and exposed outside, and a current collector formed with a support projection electrically connecting the electrode assembly and the terminal and inserted into the electrode assembly, and a welding projection in contact with the side end of the electrode assembly.
