<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve crime preventive performance by monitoring in real-time even in an apartment house and an office in which an official in charge is not permanently stationed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This crime prevention monitoring device for an elevator is arranged in respective living rooms 6a-6f of a destination story of the elevator, for monitoring the crime prevention of the elevator via an image screen of a monitor 16 of the living rooms, and includes a call signal input part 11 for inputting a car call signal outputted from the elevator control device 5 side in response to operation of a car call registering button 2 arranged in a car 1, a picture signal input part 14 for inputting a picture signal from a crime preventive camera 9 for photographing the inside of the car 1, a permission determining part 15 for permitting the monitor display of the picture signal inputted to the picture signal input part 14 when the inputted car call signal is a car call signal set with the existing story of the living rooms 6a-6f as the destination story, and a picture signal output part 17 for outputting the picture signal inputted via the picture signal input part 14 to the monitor 16 when the monitor display is permitted.
