<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time until a user edits a color separation image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1 is connected to a stenciling printer 2 for two-color printing which prints in a first color based upon a first image and in a second color based upon a second image, and generates the color separation image having the first image and the second image put one over the other based upon an original image. The image processing apparatus includes a priority color separation processing unit 11c which generates a color separation image and a color separation thumbnail image which has reduced the color separation image based upon selected original images when one of the original image is selected, and displays the generated color separation image and the color separation thumbnail image on a display unit 14.
