<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable wavelength light source capable of suppressing radiation loss of light. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light source includes: an optical amplifier; a plurality of waveguide-type optical resonators each including optical resonator mirrors provided in an optical waveguide and at both ends of the waveguide; optical-resonator tap structures provided to the midway of the optical waveguides for outputting/receiving light to/from the waveguide-type optical resonators.
