<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge-storing magazine capable of efficiently storing cartridges, even if the number of cartridges is increased. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The magazine includes its magazine body 11 for storing cartridges K each storing a tape, such as a magnetic tape, in a longitudinal line on the same plane; a cartridge-push-out mechanism 12 for outwardly pushing the cartridges K in the magazine body 11; and an engaging mechanism 20 for engaging the cartridges K stored in the magazine body 11. The cartridge push-out mechanism 12 is configured so as to include a spring mechanism 15, that is held at one end by a recessed back plate 11A in the magazine body 11 and presses the cartridge K at the other end, from the inside toward the outside; and a cartridge pressing member 19 that is connected to the other end of the spring mechanism 15 and transmits the pressing force of the spring mechanism 15 to the cartridge K.
