<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To amplify or muffle a specific sound in association with an engine load by a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sound pressure amplifier includes a communication pipe 2 communicating with a direction intersecting with an intake duct 1, and a film member 3 fitted to the end of the communication pipe 2. The communication pipe 2 has a double cylindrical structure composed of a rigid outer cylindrical member 21 and a flexible inner cylindrical member 22. The outer cylindrical member 21 and inner cylindrical member 22 are mutually fixed at both ends. Further, the outer cylindrical member 21 is formed with a breather 23 passed through the inside and outside thereof. Thereby, in association with an increase in the engine load, the inner cylindrical member 22 is deformed and the cross-sectional area of the communication pipe 2 is changed. Or, a resonator is composed of the communication pipe communicating with the direction intersecting with the intake duct and a resonant chamber communicating with the end of the communication pipe, and a variable structure is applied to the communication pipe.
