<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent curling of a recording paper sheet on which recording is performed by using water-based ink and an inkjet recording method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for preventing curling includes a drying process of drying the recording paper sheet on which recording is performed by using water-based ink and the inkjet recording method under a condition that a predetermined curve is applied to the recording paper sheet; and a control process of determining an actual drying curvature to be applied to the recording paper sheet in the drying depending on a plane face post-drying curvature generated on the recording paper sheet after drying performed on a plane face and a droplet deposition rate, and controlling the drying of the recording paper sheet by the determined actual drying curvature.
