PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a transmission power equivalent to that in configuring transmission diversity when one of a plurality of independently operable transmission system circuits fails, regarding a radio transmission apparatus of a base station or the like in a mobile communication system. SOLUTION: The radio transmission apparatus includes the plurality of independently operable transmission system circuits TX#1 and TX#2 provided with a transmission part 1 for outputting transmission signals, a power amplification part 2 for amplifying output signals from the transmission part 1 and a power source part 5 for supplying power to a circuit part including the transmission part 1 and the power amplification part 2. The radio transmission apparatus monitors the output signals from the power amplification part 2 by a monitoring part 3, and includes a power route switching part 6 for switching the power route of the power source part 5 of the transmission system circuit in which transmission abnormality is detected to the power route of the other transmission system circuit and a power superimposing part 7 for superimposing supply power from the power source part 5 and the supply power from the power source part 5 of the other transmission circuit supplied through the power route switching part 6 and supplying the superimposed power to the circuit part including the transmission part 1 and the power amplification part 2.
