PURPOSE: A user recognition card system and a smart key location determining method thereof are provided to reduce the number of wires by using two low frequency antennae. CONSTITUTION: A smart key(200) receives a smart key confirmation request signal, detects LF(Low Frequency) antenna location information, and transmits a response signal. The response signal comprises LF antenna location information for the received smart key confirmation request signals. A PIC(Personal Identification Card) part(100) comprises at least two LF antennae, transmits the smart key confirmation request signals to the smart key through a LF antenna corresponding to the location information. The PIC part receives the response signal. When the location information about two LF antennae is included in the response signal, the PIC part determines the location of the smart key as the inside of a vehicle.
