<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method for a three-dimensional display device with a multilayer structure. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing method includes the steps of: dividing an input image into a foreground signal and a background signal; compressing an analysis degree of the divided signals into a half in a predetermined direction and newly compounding the divided signals into a relay image; displaying a composite signal at a first side surface and a second side surface of the relay image, respectively; moreover, reversely providing the background signal of the relay image at another side surface; simultaneously reading a pixel data in a forward direction and a backward direction by a processing circuit and providing the pixel data to a front panel and a back panel, if the relay image is input to a televising device; expanding the first side surface of the front panel and the back panel in a full screen in the predetermined direction by the processing circuit; outputting a full screen three-dimensional stereoscopic image; or simultaneously forming a three-dimensional stereoscopic image and a two-dimensional image by using the second side surface of the front panel as an all transmission-type screen, while, by the processing circuit, performing setting up of the pixel data of the first side surface of the front panel and the back panel after adding the pixel data of the first side surface of the front panel and the back panel to the second side face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
