<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a gimbal in a failure by providing a gimbal control system with a built-in test circuit and monitoring an excitation signal by means of the built-in test circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A gimbal control system with a built-in test circuit has the built-in test circuit (18) built in the gimbal control system (2).
