ASCORBIC ACID PEROXIDASE PROTEIN ORIGINATED FROM CYANIDIUM, AND GENE THEREOF AND USE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene useful for creating a transgenic plant excellent in stress resistance such as heat resistance and oxidation stress resistance: and to provide a plant transformed with the gene.

SOLUTION: There are provided the gene participating in high temperature environmental compatibility from the gene of Cyanidioschyzon merolae and encoding the gene of a protein having ascorbic acid peroxidase activity; and the protein having the ascorbic acid peroxidase activity. A plant is transformed with the gene to obtain the transformant excellent in heat resistance and oxidation stress resistance.
