<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydrodeoxygenation of a charged material, whereby the yield of gas oil is maximized and the mechanism of hydrodeoxygenation of a carboxyl group to an alkyl group is accelerated. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for hydrodeoxygenation of a charged material from a renewable source, the conversion due to decarboxylation/decarbonylation is restricted to at most 10%. A bulk or supported catalyst including an active phase comprised of at least one kind of element selected from the VIB group and at least one kind of element selected from the VIII group is used, each of the elements being in a state of a sulfide. The atom ratio of the VIB group metal to the VIII group metal is higher than 0 and lower than 0.095. The method for hydrodeoxygenation is performed at a temperature of 120 to 450°C, a pressure of 1-10 MPa and an hourly spacial velocity of 0.1-10 h<SP>-1</SP>and in the presence of the total amount of hydrogen which is mixed with a charged material in such an amount that the ratio of hydrogen/charged material is 50-3,000 Nm<SP>3</SP>per volume (m<SP>3</SP>) of the charged material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
