<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of improving cycle characteristics in a lithium-ion secondary battery using a silicon-based negative electrode material as a negative electrode active material. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium-ion secondary battery has a power generating element including at least one unit cell layer in which a positive electrode active material layer, an electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode active material layer are sequentially layered. Then, the negative electrode active material layer contains the negative electrode active material having the silicon-based negative electrode material as a main component, and a binder.
