<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient scene search when searching for a desired scene in a moving image file. <P>SOLUTION: A playback screen U200 for playing back a plurality of moving image files on a plurality of screens has a playback screen end button U210, a sub control U220 and a main control display area U250. The sub control U220 has a slider having a playback width set to the playback screen and has knobs U270, U275 being present for each playback screen and indicating playback positions, respectively. The main control U250 has a slider having one playback width and knobs U280, U285 and U290 indicate playback positions on the playback screens and are linked with each other.
