<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dead water when a sprinkler head is connected to a pipe of waterworks. <P>SOLUTION: Fire extinguishing system, wherein the closing type sprinkler head 18 which operates when receiving a thermal current caused by a fire is mounted to the pipe supplying water of waterworks, is provided with an automatic washing device 20 which regularly drains water of waterworks in a pipe portion connecting the sprinkler head 18. The automatic washing device 20 includes: a driving portion 22 which strokes a piston rod 34 periodically on the basis of pressure by the supply of water of waterworks; and a drain portion 24 which drains the stored water of waterworks by opening a valve body 36a by abutment when the piston rod 34 is stroked by a predetermined amount in a direction in which the valve is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
