<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for gravure printing having excellent whiteness and gravure printing suitability, and to provide a method for producing the coated paper with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the coated paper for gravure printing includes: a papermaking step of forming a sheet of base paper; a coating step of carrying out coating of a coating liquid containing a pigment and adhesive, and providing a pigment-coated layer; and a step of treating the surface of the pigment-coated layer, wherein the steps are continuously performed with an on-machine coater. In the method for producing the coated paper, the whiteness of the coated paper is≥80%. The method includes: carrying out the coating of the coating liquid containing, in 100 pts.wt. of the pigment, 10-30 pts.wt. of a phyllosilicate mineral having a volume distribution-average particle diameter of 4.0-20μm measured by a laser diffraction method, and 70-90 pts.wt. of calcium carbonate having a volume distribution-average particle diameter of 0.2-1.0μm measured by the laser diffraction method; and providing the pigment-coated layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
