PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC/DC converter apparatus which improves its controllability in synchronized switching control. SOLUTION: The converter control unit 48 of the DC/DC converter apparatus 50 allots all dead time dts to the output period of a drive signal UL to a step-up switching element 82 when it is determined that the DC/DC converter apparatus 50 shows only a step-down state, in entire switching cycle, and allots all dead time dts to the output period of drive signal UH to a step-down switching element 81 when determined that it shows only a step-up state, and allots dead time dts to each output period of drive signals UH and UL when it is determined that the converter apparatus shows both the step-down and the step-up states.
