PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for increasing the yield of a harvesting part of a farm crop. SOLUTION: The yield-increasing agent of a harvesting part selected from among a seed, a fruit, a hypocotyl, a root and a stem of a farm crop comprises a combination of a 5-aminolevulinic acid represented by general formula (1): R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>1</SP>NCH<SB>2</SB>COCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>COR<SP>3</SP>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently hydrogen, alkyl, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryl or aralkyl; and R<SP>3</SP>is hydroxy, alkoxy, acyloxy, alkoxycarbonyloxy, aryloxy, aralkyloxy, or amino), a derivative thereof or a salt thereof with a gibberellin-biosynthesis inhibitor and is applied at a season when the harvesting part of a farm crop gets large.
