PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt improving the straight advancing property of an element at a portion where a belt is not wound on a pulley, while avoiding the interference between a dimple and the inner surface of a hole when the element contacts the pulley. SOLUTION: The power transmission belt is formed by laminating a plurality of elements 6, forming dimples 18 and holes 21 on both sides of the elements 6, arranging the dimples 18 in the holes 21 to straighten the mutual attitudes of the elements 6, binding the elements 6 with a ring 8 into annular shape, and forming locking edges 7 at the elements 6. In a stage before the elements 6 are rotated relative to one another, a clearance S1 is formed larger than a clearance S2 within a plane in the radial direction of the ring 8.
