<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission accelerating and rotating a flywheel when vehicle speed is reduced without performing power circulation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This continuously variable transmission 1 includes a continuously variable transmission 20 with an input member 21 connected to an engine 2 and an output member 22 connected to a driving wheel 3, and it is capable of continuously varying the speed of the relative rotation between the engine 2 and the driving wheel 3 without performing power circulation. This continuously variable transmission 1 includes a carrier CR connected to the input member 21 of the continuously variable transmission 20, a ring gear R connected to the output member 22 of the continuously variable transmission 20, and an accelerating planetary gear 10 with a sun gear S accelerating and rotating relative to the rotation of the ring gear R based on the rotation of the carrier CR, and the flywheel 30 is connected to the sun gear S. The speed is varied to increase the deceleration of the continuously variable transmission 20 when the vehicle is decelerated, thereby enabling acceleration and rotation of the flywheel 30.
