<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device having electrodes of a structure simply replaceable, and efficiently transferring generated heat without expanding the shape of the device. <P>SOLUTION: This optical semiconductor unit 1 includes an LED device 3 provided with an LED (Light Emitting Diode) 9 and a socket 5 to which the LED device 3 is mounted. The LED device 3 includes a body 7 to which the LED 9 is mounted. The body 7 has a first surface 11, and block-shaped electrodes 13a, 13b are connected to the first surface 11. It is desirable that a total of thermal characteristic data of the electrodes 13a, 13b is not smaller than thermal characteristic data of the body 7. That is because the transfer speed of heat generated when the LED 9 operates is limited in the electrodes 13a, 13b (heat is accumulated) if the total of the thermal characteristic data of the electrodes 13a, 13b is smaller than the thermal characteristic data of the body 7, heat radiation is hindered, and deterioration of the LED 9 is caused. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
