<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desired distal-end stiffness value of a steering column shaft even if an increase in size and an increase in weight of a steering member body are suppressed and an increase in install space and an increase in assembly hour are suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A bellows shape projection 8 with an outward opening recessed portion 8a is formed by forming a recess having a substantially V-shaped cross section and projecting toward the inside of the steering member body 1, in a steering support portion 1c for mounting a steering support bracket 4 of the steering member body 1.
