PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve interest in a game machine such as a Pachinko machine. SOLUTION: On a game board 2 of a Pachinko machine 1, an operation port 3 and a big winning port 4 are provided, and a display device 13 including a display part 13a is incorporated in a center part of the game board 2. A plurality of symbol trains are displayed in the display part 13a, and the symbol trains are formed of a plurality of kinds of symbols. In the display device 13, background is displayed in the back side of the symbols. A controller 24 executes variable display at least as if the background varies with scrolling in the display part 13a. Further, the controller 24 can generate a normal game state, a special game state which is advantageous to a player, and an additional game state which is more beneficial for the player than the normal game state, and is not so advantageous as the special game state. Mutual changeovers between the normal game state and the additional game state are executed without it makes the generation of the special game state into a necessary condition, and report to the player is executed according to each game state with a different mode each other.
