<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air heat source turbo heat pump preventing the fear of liquid back even with respect to fluctuation of air side conditions, and thereby enabling stable operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the air heat source turbo heat pump 1, an economizer 6 and a refrigerant precooler 7 are provided between a heat source side air heat exchanger 4 and a use side heat exchanger 9. Also provided is a control part 60 for controlling a difference between an inlet side refrigerant temperature of a main expansion valve 8 and an evaporation temperature ET to an appropriate value by a refrigerant precooler expansion valve 16, and controlling a difference between an outlet refrigerant temperature of the economizer 6 and an intermediate temperature MT, to an appropriate value by the main expansion valve 8.
