<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating plant capable of successfully maintaining commodities placed on commodity placement shelves in an intended temperature state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The refrigerating plant 2 includes the plurality of commodity placement shelves 42 forming a plurality of stages along the vertical direction in a storage display region 4 of a prefabricated warehouse with an opening formed on the front face, each having a front end forming a commodity carrying-out port 42a and a rear end forming a commodity carrying-in port 42b communicated with a storage carrying region 6 in rear of the storage display region 4, and used for placing commodities as storage targets. The commodities placed on the commodity placement shelves 42 are held in a freezing or refrigerating state. The refrigerating plant 2 further includes regulation means for regulating passage of air made to flow in from the commodity carrying-out ports 42a side through the commodity carrying-in ports 42b by closing the commodity carrying-in ports 42b in the normal state and for allowing passage of the commodities by being pressed by the commodities to be deformed by itself, when the commodities are carried in from the storage carrying region 6 to the commodity carrying-in ports 42b.
