<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston favorable in assembling workability, and also easy in machining. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This shock absorber is equipped with a cylinder 1, and a piston rod 2 movably inserted into the cylinder 1 with one end connected to a piston slidably inserted into the cylinder 1, and interposed in an upright arrangement between a body and an axle of a vehicle.
