The device has a main circuit (1) provided with a circulation pump (4), a thermostatic valve (5) and a radiator (6). An auxiliary circuit (7) has an auxiliary pump (8) and an auxiliary cooler (9) to cool a unit e.g. alternator starter, of a vehicle. The pump (8) permits the circulation of a part of a coolant in the cooler (9) and across a main part (28) of the radiator, when the valve (5) is closed. An independent claim is also included for a cooling method for a motor vehicle. |
