PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a subject S to be positioned within a predetermined plane by means of a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: The positioning device 1 includes a support part 3 secured to a structure, and a movable part 2 supported against the support part 3 in an overlapping manner. The movable part 2 and the support part 3 are formed with a plurality of movable part oblong holes 22 and a plurality of support part oblong holes 33, respectively, each of the movable part oblong holes 22 and each of the support part oblong holes 33 overlapping each other to at least partially communicate with each other while the movable part 2 and the support part 3 overlap each other. The positioning device 1 further includes an engaging part 5 which engages each of the movable part oblong holes 22 and each of the support part oblong holes 33 overlapping each other, to permit the movable part 2 to rotate by a predetermined angle relative to the support part 3, and a securing part 5 which non-rotatably secures the movable part 2 to the support part 3.
