摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of trouble by reducing a load applied to an attached portion of a slide mechanism, by avoiding the thermal strain due to high heat, and by setting the distance between the attached portion of a fixed side rail on a vehicle body frame and the application point of the force to the shortest. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The slide mechanism 20 includes: a lower rail 30 attached to the side of a floor 60; and an upper rail 40 relatively sliding with respect to the lower rail 30, and is attached to the vehicle seat side. The lower rail 30 is attached to the floor 60 side by use of laser welding (hatched portion shown by symbols J1, J2 in the figure)causing no thermal strain to a leg 50 fixedly installed on the floor 60. The attached portion of the lower rail 30 becomes the rear end 33 in the sliding direction positioning the outermost end of the lower rail 30, making the distance up to the application point of the force, existing in the outside of the rear end 33 in the sliding direction, the shortest.
