摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an accurate analysis of an atomic nucleus to a sample to which application of an activation analysis and mass spectrometry is difficult. SOLUTION: The nuclear analysis device 10 includes: a γ-ray source 11; a radiation detector 15; a detector 16 for monitoring γ rays; and a personal computer (analysis section) 17. In the analysis method, application of γ rays 12 to a sample atomic nucleus 40 to be measured causes a (γ, n) reaction in the atomic nucleus 40 in a sample 31 to be measured, and the nuclide of the atomic nucleus 40 is identified by measuring energy (spectra) of neutrons 41 generated in this case by the radiation detector 15.
