PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lash adjuster capable of preventing installation defects on seal members when installing a plunger in a body. SOLUTION: The sealed lash adjuster 100A includes the body 1A, the plunger 2A, the first seal member 5 and the second seal member 6. The body 1A includes an atmosphere side inner surface 11, a high-pressure chamber side inner surface 12 and a first step 13. The plunger 2A includes an atmosphere side outer surface 21, a high-pressure chamber side outer surface 22 and a second step 23. A first step amount provided by the first step 13 is set larger than a second step amount provided by the second step 23. The first and second steps 13, 23 are formed in tapered shapes. The first seal member 5 is arranged at the atmosphere side inner surface 11 apart from the first step 13 and the second seal member 6 is arranged at the high-pressure chamber side outer surface 22 apart from the second step 23.
