PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of a filter in a dust collection apparatus, wherein the backwashing efficiency is sufficiently increased even with a small flow amount of cleaning gas of low pressure. SOLUTION: In the cleaning method of a filter in a dust collection apparatus where a plurality of dust collectors for backwashing the filter by jetting cleaning gas in the direction reverse to the dust collection process, are provided side by side, while backwashing is performed for one of the dust collectors, the cleaning gas flowing out to a primary side of the filter of the dust collector is caused to flow into the primary side of a filter of another dust collector performing dust collection.
