<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for increasing a light condensing efficiency for pixels while suppressing generation of reflected light. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging element includes a plurality of pixels arranged two-dimensionally. Light of a structure having a plurality of subwavelength structures smaller in their plane-direction lengths than an incident wavelength λ are formed on the pixels with placement intervals smaller than the incident wavelength λ.
