<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, capable of performing model-specific print setting while maintaining a model-independent interface. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a print job execution means which receives print data through a print port and causes the apparatus to execute a print job based on the print data; a print service means which receives input of a print request through the model-independent interface, and transmits print data obtained by setting print setting information designated in the print request to print data related to the print request to the print port; and a print request input means which inputs the print request to the print service means through the interface. The print service means inputs the print data with the print setting information set thereto to the print request input means prior to its transmission to the print port, and the print request input means sets print setting information specific to the model of the image forming apparatus to the input print data, and outputs this print data to the print service means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
