<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human growth hormone crystal capable of obtaining human growth hormone (hGH) stably operating in a long term. <P>SOLUTION: The stable, extended release crystals of human growth hormone or a human growth hormone derivative and compositions or formulations comprises such crystals. Further, a method for producing those crystals and compositions is provided. Further, a method is provided for treatment of an individual having disorders which are associated with human growth hormone deficiency or which are ameliorated by treatment with human growth hormone, by using those crystals and compositions or formulations.
