<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which reduces of delay at the time of start of reproduction of multiplexed stream data. <P>SOLUTION: Multiplexing processing pat 30, referring toa reference clock supplied from reference clocks 40, generates/outputs a TS obtained by multiplexing a plurality of data including a video elementary stream supplied from a video encoder 10 and an audio elementary stream supplied from an audio encoder. When starting multiplexing, the multiplexing processing unit 30 increments an output rate of one elementary stream so as to reduce delay, that may generates when starting playback at a decoder side, within such a range as not to change the output rate and such a range as not to make overflow a buffer of the decoder that plays back the TS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
