PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which emits a luminous flux having a stable light quantity. SOLUTION: A package member 14A holds a laser chip at the center of a region surrounded by walls, and the edge of the wall in W-direction is used as a first reference face. A first holder 142A has a second reference face abutted on the first reference face of the package member 14A, and has a through-hole formed to serve as an optical path of laser beam emitted from the laser chip. The abutted face formed by the first reference face and the second reference face stands in a raw so as to surround the region. The package member 14A is pressed by a spring member 145 via a control board 141. Thus, the first reference face and the second reference face are accurately abutted and suppress the intrusion of dust and dirt into the through-hole of the first holder 142A through the gap between the control board 141 and the first holder 142A.
