PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new fluorine-containing silica nanocomposite particles as a material utilizing the chemical and thermal stability of silica and the excellent water repellent, oil repellent, fouling-preventing and catalytic characters of a fluorine compound by using a fluorine low molecular surfactant as a raw material. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing silica nanocomposite particles includes a mixture of (A) silica nanoparticles and (B) a fluorine-containing surfactant expressed by formula (1) [wherein, T is SO<SB>3</SB>Q or COOQ; Q is H, Li, Na, K or the like; and Rf is 2C-8C fluoroalkyl] and a hydrolysate of a functional alkoxysilane, and/or a dehydrating condensate of the mixture.
