PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling an optical correction unit including a complicated driving mechanism or the like, capable of preventing a correction lens from being scratched or stained during assembling of the optical correction unit by caulking the correction lens to a lens holding frame after assembling the driving mechanism or the like to the optical correction unit, and further capable of preventing a caulking hone from being adhered to a movable member during thermal caulking. SOLUTION: In the method of assembling an optical correction unit including moving the correction lens held by the movable member in a direction substantially orthogonal to an optical axis by a drive means, when the correction lens is attached to the movable member by thermal caulking, a movable part support pin formed on a movable part fixing member presses the movable member by abutting on the movable member through a through-hole formed in a base member, and the pressing to the movable member is released after the caulking hone is pulled up.
