<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-speed digital signal transmission with high reliability by removing an influence of a frequency variation and an influence of phase noise caused by an oscillator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a device for transmitting signal which mainly converts an IF signal into a microwave band and transmits the resultant IF signal, a main signal is modulated by adding thereto pilot signals f<SB>p1s</SB>and f<SB>p2s</SB>which are generated by a synthesizer and have a frequency difference therebetween equal to a reference frequency, and the resultant modulated signal is transmitted. A receiver receives and demodulates the modulated signal to separate the signal into a main signal f<SB>IF22</SB>and pilot signals f<SB>P1r</SB>' and f<SB>P2r</SB>', then reproduces a reference frequency signal f<SB>REF2</SB>from a frequency difference between the pilot signals f<SB>P1r</SB>' and f<SB>P2r</SB>', and generates a pilot signal f<SB>P2r</SB>by modifying the pilot signal f<SB>P2r</SB>' based on the reference frequency signal, and fully removes a pilot signal component from the main signal f<SB>IF22</SB>using the pilot signal f<SB>P2r</SB>to obtain a main signal component without disturbance.
