PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condition detector which can detect the circulating condition of a die cooling circuit though being a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The condition detector 10 is used for detecting the circulating condition of a cooling circuit provided at the inside of a die 2. The condition detector 10 is provided with: a thermometer 6 as a temperature measuring means; and an arithmetic unit 8 including a temperature difference calculating means and a discriminating means. Drainage temperature is measured per shot by the thermometer 6, and, the temperature differenceΔK in the drainage between the shot of the (N) and the shot of the (N-1)measured by the temperature measuring step 11 is calculated. The temperature differenceΔK calculated by the temperature difference calculating step 12 is compared with a beforehand set allowable temperature difference Ka, thus whether the circulating condition of the cooling circuit is good or not is discriminated in a discrimination step 13.
