<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl correction device capable of making a constant and uniform curl correction on the recording paper whole surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This curl correction device has a curl correction action force changing means capable of optionally changing curl correction action force by correcting a curl of carried paper, a paper carrying speed recognizing means for recognizing a paper carrying speed being a carrying speed of paper changed in the curl correction action force by the curl correction action force changing means, and a first control means for controlling strength of the curl correction action force of the curl correction action force changing means in response to the paper carrying speed recognized by the paper carrying speed recognizing means.
